Our journey
to eco.

Our sustainability journey began in 2019 when we set about embracing our responsibility to do the right thing for our planet and the future. We decided to transform our approach to sustainability and put these challenges right at the heart of our business, starting with our products.

Making our products eco.

Since our journey began, we’ve had a clear vision. We want every garment we produce to make a positive impact on our planet, the people we work with and the students who ultimately wear our products every day.

The biggest eco range in the industry

Fast forward to today and we’re now proud to offer our customers the biggest and broadest range of schoolwear and sportswear that’s responsibly sourced and manufactured with sustainable materials.

Around 75% of our product offering is now eco and by 2025 we aim to transition 100% our garments to more sustainable fabrics meaning we’re already close to reaching our goal.

Blazers and jackets

The full Signature, Ziggy, and Designer ranges have now transitioned to eco and are made from 100% recycled polyester (PET) certified to Gold Standard for all main outer fabric and internal linings. The sustainable fabric for our blazers and jackets contains up to 48 recycled plastic bottles.

Blouses, shirts and t-shirts

Our blouse and shirt products have all transitioned to eco with updated sustainable packaging. Our Champion Tee is made from 100% cotton and is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means that every component of the garment has been tested for harmful substances.

Skirts

100% of the polyester used in the girls trouser and skirt styles that have transitioned to eco is produced from recycled bottles. That’s up to 17 recycled bottles per product. We’ve also added waist-adjusters into all our girls’ skirts for our eco transition.

Trousers

Our boys trousers have also made the transition over to eco, created from 65% recycled polyester and 35% biodegradable viscose main fabric. Up to 11 plastic bottles are recycled to produce the polyester for each of these styles.

Sweatshirts, jog pant and polo

The Classic range of sweatshirts, jog pant and polo have all transitioned to eco. The Classic Polo fabric is produced from up to 15 recycled plastic bottles and all our Classic Sweat product is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.

Adding eco to the APTUS DNA

Our APTUS sportswear ranges have now transitioned to more sustainable fabrics. We use recycled polyester to construct our market-leading sportswear garments, which retain the same renowned levels of performance, quality and feel. So, students can now look great wearing the most modern performance fabrics and styles and feel good about supporting the environment too.

Leading the way in sustainability.

We’re continually working to improve all aspects of our environmental and social responsibility, minimising the impacts of our operations on the planet and at the same time optimising the benefits of what we do for our people and the people we work with. It’s why we’re recognised as the schoolwear supplier that’s leading the way in sustainability.
